Apple Slice

You will need...

1 packet Green’s English Tea Cake Mix

2 eggs

1 x 440g of tin pie apples

125g butter or margarine, melted

1 cup desiccated coconut

300ml sour cream


Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan forced). Line a lamington pan with baking paper.


Combine cake mix with melted butter or margarine and coconut. Mix to resemble fine crumb.

Press into prepared lamington pan and bake for 20 minutes. Spread base with pie apples.

Whisk together sour cream and eggs and pour over apples. Sprinkle top with sachet of cinnamon sugar.


Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan forced) for a further 30 minutes or until top is set and golden.


Makes approximately 16 squares.
