Sticky Date Pudding

You will need...

1 pack Green’s Moist Date Loaf Mix

1 egg

150ml water

60g butter or margarine, melted

1 cup brown sugar
for sauce

1 cup single cream
for sauce

100g butter for sauce


Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan forced). Grease a round 20cm cake pan.


Add date loaf mix, egg, butter or margarine and water into a bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon. Spread into greased round 20cm cake pan.


Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C fan forced) for 30 minutes.

For Sauce

Combine brown sugar, cream and butter in saucepan.

Stir until boiling over med heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 mins.


Pour warm sauce over cake.
